The 2009 edition of this awesome event will run
Saturday, December 5th & Sunday, December 6th
9am-8pm both days
The last two years have been really fantastic. The support we've received from Portland's dog community has been wonderful, with lots of great people and amazing dogs coming out to help the cause. Last year the day booked solid a lot more quickly than we expected, and unfortunately we had to turn quite a few folks away. This year we're doing two full days!
**UPDATE - 11.04.09**
The weekend is full! Thank you to everyone!
If you'd like to be notified if we have any cancellations send me an email at doghouse@canisstudio.com and I'll put you on the waiting list.
What's the scoop?
Photo sessions are by appointment only. Each session will last about 15 minutes and must be booked no later than 6pm on Thursday, December 3rd. View available spots here then email me at doghouse@canisstudio.com to make your appointment, and include both your name and your dog's name. Please be sure to arrive about 5 minutes early. I expect both days to be pretty full, if not completely booked, so I won't be able to reschedule if you're late.
If you need to cancel after making your appointment please contact me ASAP so I can make your spot available to someone else. No-shows really bum me out.
Where is it?
My studio is located at 215 SE Morrison St. That's under the Morrison Bridge in the warehouse district of SE PDX, on the second floor of the Portland Storage building. Here it is at Google. The glass double doors along Morrison is where you need to go. A friendly volunteer inside the doors will point you up the stairs to the studio.
How much are photo sessions?
We're asking for a donation of $25 for each dog you bring to be photographed. 100% of your 25 bucks goes straight to Family Dogs.
Where can I see my photos?
I'll have everyone's photos finished and uploaded to an online gallery by Monday, November 7th. 600x400 pixel files of all finished photos will be freely available for download. Prints, high-res files and other fun stuff will be available too.
Other stuff
I want this to be a fun, dog friendly event with lots of great photos of...you guessed it...dogs. I'm not offering family portraits or photos of the kids because I want to focus 110% on your dog.
You're likely to encounter other dogs as you're coming in or leaving after your session. If you have questions or concerns regarding any special needs or behavior issues your dog might have please let me know when you make your appointment.
Please feel free to shoot an email to doghouse@canisstudio.com if you have any questions. Thanks for helping to make this year an even bigger success than last year! |
